multichannel hardware and software
The Nor850 hardware is a multichannel rack. Each rack can consist of up to 10 measurement channels (microphone positions). For building acoustic measurements each channel can also have it's own noise generator output.
The Nor850 hardware is connected via LAN with a PC that runs the Nor850 software. The control of the entire measurement (example the noise generation, the microphone boom, reference sound source, hammer tapping machine,....) is done from within the Nor850 software.
The Nor850 hard & software is mainly used in building acoustics labs for performing sound insulation tests and absorption coefficient testing. The system is also a well known for sound power testing.
In the Nor850 software there are also measurement and reporting modules available for other multi-channel applications like sound intensity, environmental noise and ISO 3822 laboratory testing of noise emission from appliances and equipment used in water supply installations.
