International traceability and recognition
Thanks to the ISO 17025 accreditation of our laboratories, our calibration certificates are internationally recognised and traceable to national and international measurement standards. This means that a sound level meter calibrated at an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory can be used without any problems in all European countries.

Traceability to international standards (such as those of the BIPM - Bureau International des Poids et Mesures) guarantees that your measuring instruments will be accepted for official measurements and reports anywhere in the world. Whether you carry out measurements in the United Kingdom, Ireland, or elsewhere in Europe, a calibration performed by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory meets the requirements and is recognised by authorities and certifying bodies.

In accordance with HMRI 2004, the sound level meter and the calibration source must be extensively tested at least every two years in a laboratory equipped for this purpose.

Norsonic Benelux provides these calibrations in collaboration with three European ISO 17025 accredited laboratories: Norsonic Tippkemper (Germany), Laaber (Austria) and Microbel (Italy). Norsonic Tippkemper is also a certified Rion & Norsonic service centre. The collaboration with these laboratories allows for fast service and an extensive scope of calibrations.

These laboratories are brand-independent. All sound level meter models and calibration sources can be calibrated there at a competitive price. 90% of the devices are calibrated within 3 days of receipt, and we offer an express service where calibration is carried out the day after receipt.
